A little about me
I began my psychotherapy training later in life, and I believe the path I’ve walked since has shaped a deeply compassionate approach. My life experiences help me to understand what it feels like for my clients to face their struggles, to sit with uncertainty, and to face those quiet doubts that are often difficult to name. With several years of experience in community mental health, I have gained practical insight and a profound respect for the bravery it takes to ask for help.
For me, the relationship between my clients and I is at the heart of the work. It is important that the therapeutic relationship feels safe; without that sense of safety, meaningful therapeutic work cannot truly happen. I would encourage anyone considering therapy to take time to explore their options, ask meaningful questions, and choose a therapist with whom they feel a genuine sense of safety and connection.
Working Together
I believe therapy starts with safety. Before change begins, we need a space where you can truly be yourself, free from judgment. Building a trusting bond is the core of my practice, as it allows healing and growth to unfold. We move at your pace, ensuring every step feels supportive and manageable. Whether you are navigating stress, exploring old patterns, or seeking balance, You will be met exactly where you are and offered support.
How I Work
I am an integrative, humanistic and trauma informed counsellor and psychotherapist, who draws from approaches such as Gestalt, Person‑Centred and Transactional Analysis to best support each client. I work in a relational way, which means our connection is an important part of the therapy. At times we may gently reflect on what is happening between us in the room, as this can shine a light on patterns in your life and help you understand yourself more deeply. I always keep you at the centre of your work. The focus will be on what you need and what matters to you, so you feel truly heard. There is no one‑size‑fits‑all approach; I use different techniques that fit your situation, balancing deeper reflection with practical support for daily life. I am mindful of how past hurts can affect us, so sessions are gentle and you remain in the driving seat of your own recovery and growth.
When life feels hard
Sometimes life just feels heavy, especially when you're stuck in a cloud of anxiety or feeling completely drained by depression. If you’re going through a big change, struggling with the ups and downs of parenting, or finding your relationships a bit tricky, please know you don't have to carry that weight on your own. Whether you want to feel better about yourself or work through things from the past, I'm here to offer a steady hand. Together, we can build up your strength and find simple ways to cope, helping you look forward to a brighter future with more hope.
Quiet Within, Thriving Beyond
I’m here to help you find some quiet in the noise and rediscover your sense of purpose. By noticing and beginning to connect how your body feels and what’s going on in your head, we can start building a real sense of calm. Together, we’ll look at what helps you feel more grounded, clear, and just a bit kinder to yourself. My hope is that, in time, you’ll move from just getting through the day to really feeling steady, alive, and able to thrive in the life you’re living right now.

Common Questions & Support
Is therapy right for me? | How do I book a session?
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed or simply want to understand yourself better, therapy can support you. To begin, reach out by email or phone to book a gentle first session.
How long might I need therapy for? | What is your cancellation policy?
We will work at your pace that feels right to you, with each session lasting 60 minutes. Some people find that just a few sessions are enough to get back on track, while others prefer the space for longer-term support. I ask for at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling, as late cancellations or missed appointments are subject to the full session fee.
Do I have to talk about everything? | What if I feel overwhelmed?
You only share what you feel ready for. If you feel emotional, please know this is a natural part of healing, and we can pause or slow down whenever you need.
Is our work confidential? | Who do you work with?
Your privacy is protected under strict ethical codes we will review together. I work specifically with individual adults and do not provide therapy for children or couples.
What do sessions cost? | Do you accept insurance?
My standard fee is €60, and I offer reduced rates by agreement because I believe therapy should be accessible. Some insurers cover sessions with IACP members, but many require full accreditation. As I am currently a pre-accredited member, I recommend checking with your provider before claiming.
Do you offer online or in‑person sessions?
I provide both in-person sessions at my Midleton practice and online sessions via Google Meet. You can choose the setting where you feel most comfortable and secure.
